Amsterdam has no shortage of bars. But a bar that stays open until 03:00 on Friday and Saturday nights, serves a full cocktail menu after midnight, and charges no cover or entry fee is a much shorter list.
Steak Club Leidse at Leidseplein is open until 03:00 on Friday and Saturday. The kitchen runs until closing time. The bar does too. And every Friday and Saturday from 22:00 to midnight, every cocktail is €10.
What is open after midnight?
On Friday and Saturday, two bar spaces are open after midnight:
- The main bar on the ground floor — classics, long drinks, full cocktail menu.
- The Velvet Vixen upstairs — signature cocktails in a more intimate setting, better for conversation.
After midnight the standard menu applies. Cocktail Hours (€10 per cocktail) run until 00:00. Standard pricing from midnight until closing at 03:00.
Why late night at Leidseplein?
Leidseplein is Amsterdam’s entertainment hub. Paradiso, DeLaMar, Pathe Leidseplein, and Melkweg are all within walking distance. Most shows end around 23:00, which is exactly when most nearby restaurants close.
Steak Club Leidse stays open. You can walk in after a concert or show for cocktails or a late dinner. The kitchen runs until closing with the full menu available throughout, not just a limited bar menu.

Address: Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen 11H, Amsterdam. This is a side street directly off Leidseplein, just one minute on foot from the square. The entrance to The Velvet Vixen is upstairs; please ask at the main bar on arrival.
Multiple tram lines stop directly on Leidseplein. From Amsterdam Centraal, tram 2 or 5 takes around 15 minutes.
