The Bar & Cocktails at Steak Club Leidse
Steak Club Leidse runs two bar spaces at the same address at Leidseplein, each with its own character, both worth your time.
The main bar
The bar sits at the centre of the restaurant floor. It is not tucked into a corner or treated as an afterthought. It is where the evening starts for most guests, where it ends for many, and where the cocktail programme runs from open until close.
The list covers the classics you should expect from a serious bar, including the Negroni, Old Fashioned, Espresso Martini, and Mojito, alongside a rotating selection of seasonal serves developed by our bar team. We use quality spirits throughout; the difference between a good cocktail and an average one is mostly in the base spirit and the ratios, and we do not cut corners on either.
The bar is also where you will find our full wine list and a beer selection that goes beyond the obvious Amsterdam options. If you are not sure what to order, please ask our team, as they know the menu intimately.
The Velvet Vixen
Upstairs, through a separate entrance, The Velvet Vixen operates as a distinct space within Steak Club Leidse. The format is a signature cocktail bar: a focused menu of house-developed serves, a more intimate atmosphere than the main floor, and a team whose interest is in making drinks that are actually interesting rather than just technically correct.
The Velvet Vixen suits the part of the evening when you want to sit with a drink and talk rather than shout over a busy dining room. It also suits groups who want to continue after dinner in a space that feels like a destination rather than an overflow area.
The entrance to The Velvet Vixen is upstairs. Please ask at the main bar when you arrive, and we will direct you.

Cocktail Hours, Friday & Saturday
Every Friday and Saturday from 22:00 to midnight, every cocktail on the menu is €10. There is no minimum spend and no reservation required for the bar. You can simply walk in, take a seat, and order from the full cocktail list at the Cocktail Hours price. After midnight, the standard menu applies until 03:00.
Cocktail Hours are the busiest part of our week. If you want a specific table in The Velvet Vixen on a Friday or Saturday evening, a quick message to us in advance is worth it.
