Steak Club Leidse sits at the edge of Leidseplein, one of Amsterdam’s most energetic squares. We are the steakhouse at Leidseplein: a full restaurant and bar serving dry-aged beef, sharing plates, and handcrafted cocktails. We are open from lunch through to the early hours, seven days a week.

Our address is Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen 11H, 1017 RP Amsterdam, located on a short side street that runs directly off Leidseplein, one minute on foot from the square itself. The entrance is easy to find: look for the terrace facing the street.

What we offer
We run three distinct spaces under one roof, which means the same address works for very different occasions.
The restaurant
Our main dining room serves lunch and dinner from a menu built around dry-aged beef. Chef Vincent selects every cut personally, including entrecôte, rib-eye, côte de boeuf, and tomahawk, alongside fresh fish dishes, sharing plates, and vegan options. The kitchen runs until late, so there is no rush to be seated early.
Café Leidse
Our terrace café is the place for more informal moments: coffee and a light lunch, afternoon drinks, or a pre-dinner aperitif on one of our two terraces. The soundtrack is low, the pace is easy and the Leidseplein buzz is right outside.
The Velvet Vixen cocktail bar
After dinner, or even instead of it, The Velvet Vixen operates on the upper floor with a menu of signature cocktails made for people who take their drinks seriously. On Friday and Saturday from 22:00 we run Cocktail Hours: every cocktail for €10 until midnight. The bar stays open until 03:00.
Specials at Leidseplein
We run three regular specials that are worth knowing about if you are planning an evening at Leidseplein:
- Leidseplein Experience — every Thursday, a 3-course menu for €60. Ideal for a complete dinner before heading to Paradiso, DeLaMar or Pathe.
- Meat Lovers’ Experience — every Tuesday and Wednesday, a dry-aged tomahawk steak for two with a complimentary bottle of wine for €116. Perfect for a midweek dinner worth making the trip for.
- Cocktail Hours — every Friday and Saturday from 22:00 to midnight, every cocktail for €10.
Groups and events at Leidseplein
We have two floors and three separate areas that can be configured for groups. From a reserved section of the restaurant for ten guests to a full venue hire for larger events, we handle setup, service and menu tailoring in-house. Do I need to reserve a table at Leidseplein?
We recommend reserving for dinner, particularly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings when the restaurant is busiest. For walk-ins, availability at the bar and café terrace is usually possible throughout the week.
Is there parking near Leidseplein?
The nearest car park is P1 Leidseplein, directly on the square. Public transport is the easiest option: multiple tram lines stop at Leidseplein with direct connections across the city.
Do you serve food late at Leidseplein?
Yes. Our kitchen serves until late every evening. On Friday and Saturday the restaurant is open until 03:00, making us one of the few places at Leidseplein where you can eat a full dinner after a late show.
Can I combine dinner with a show at Paradiso or DeLaMar?
This is exactly what our Leidseplein Experience is designed for. Every Thursday we offer a 3-course menu for €60, timed perfectly to work as a dinner before or after a show. Outside Thursday, the regular menu is available every evening and the kitchen runs late enough to accommodate most show end times.
